Goddard Negotiated Agreement

In addition, non-unionized college administrators who made salary cuts of 5% to 10% in 2013 are re-earning their salaries to their pre-reduction level; the College will suspend the pension plan for a period of 18 months, but will review, at the end of that period, the possibilities of compensation; and university workers, funded by grants and seasonal workers, were given some employment protection and paid sick leave. The Goddard Faculty voted to form a union in November 1998 and did so with the support of the institution`s Board of Directors. In line with the College`s long-standing commitment to democratic principles, the Management Board has waived its right to legally challenge collective bargaining. The positive ratification brings to an end almost three years of negotiations. . . . .
