Day 4 was a bit warmer than the others, thankfully! That morning getting into Epcot was 100% absolutely not fun. However they had crowd flow set up for that morning at rope drop, it took 45 mins easily to get through security and security was just about 4 people. I hadn’t see anything quite like it before. But once we got inside, we beelined for Soarin’! It’s funny, after doing Flight of Passage in 2017, Soarin’ just isn’t as cool.
After Soarin’ we hopped over to Living with the Land, which takes you behind the scenes for a bit of Epcot and how they grow veggies and fruit for the parks. If you garden at all, this is an impressive little boat tour behind the scenes. Afterwards we made our way over to the World Showcase. We started by Mexico and ended up in Norway for a delicious breakfast of School Bread and other sweet delights.
In the World Showcase were were given little books that had a list of all the treats for Festival of the Holidays. While School Bread was not on the list for Norway, I had been longing to try it for some time. It was delicious! The bread itself wasn’t sweet, and the filling was creamy and had a strong cardamom flavour. Would have it again for sure.
After that we saw the line for Frozen Everafter wasn’t too long, so we got in line. The theming for the ride queue is pretty cool. Our pictures turned out dark, but it was very detailed and such a crazy twisty line through the space. The ride itself was neat, even if a bit short for the wait.
After we that we headed to China, Italy and the Hanukkah booth for some seasonal food. The boys had yummy bahn mi, we shared absolutely mouth watering truffle mac and cheese in Italy, and had potato knish with herb sour cream at the Hanukkah booth.
While doing all this, we did have a few cookies along the way, as there was a cookie trail with a punch card! We didn’t eat enough to get the reward cookie, but the cookies we had were alright, but honestly I expected more. They all tasted pretty generic.
After roaming around the world, Chris and I headed back to the resort with the girls and gave W & S a nice afternoon out together. We all did a bit of unwinding, then headed out to 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian that evening for a Character Meal. We enjoyed a buffet with Cinderella, her prince, the Evil Step Mother and her two daughers! Their costumes were great, and the cast members were so fun to interact with!
We may have had a bit of fun with the glass slipper on the way out.
Another full day at Disney. Weather was finally warming up and the magic was in full swing!
