New routines, New Spaces, Same Me

Trying to find this new rhythm of being productive and writing has been a good exercise for me. Feel like I’m really maximizing the use of my Passion Planner. If you haven’t checked them out, I suggest you do. I’ve been using them for two years now, and they have helped me keep work and personal life organized! I’m also way less forgetful!

What do you currently do to stay organized?

My January has been a bunch of organization, new things and decluttering. This month I have managed to do another clothing purge and give a very large and heavy bag of clothing to a friend to pick through before the remains go to a thrift shop. I purged and cleaned the bathroom closet, finding new homes for many curling irons and tossing OLD makeup! Tossing old make up is always hard to do, but honestly if I haven’t used it in a year or more, it’s likely not fit to be on my skin! On top of that I purchased some new furniture for the bedroom – nightstands and lamps, and ordered a new comforter set! So in the coming weeks I will be painting and hanging some new art in the bedroom. Feeling good about reclaiming our space.

However the next project which I’m already thinking about is my office. I don’t tend to spend much time in there lately. It has become the room stacked with comic boxes, and my husband’s abandoned computer desk. I envision my office being my space, my place where I can sit at my desk and work, or sit in my recliner and brainstorm. My husband has the basement, I need this room for myself and my productivity. Hoping we can spend some time in there in February and get it to a place where I’m happy with it.

What would your ideal “workspace” look like? Other than a beach?

Lastly I created my Goodreads list, with 25 books on it. I’m already done 4 and it’s not the end of January. I’m feeling good about that too!

Love to hear from you and the good things you’ve started or gotten back into this winter.

  1. Oh a beach sounds good to me! Of course this time of year the beach always feels like a beautiful dream. One of the things I love about you is that you are a doer. I’m not sure you realize what an encouragement this is to those around you. I am excited to see you take on a reading challenge this year.
